last night, i got 4 blissful hours of sleep...in a row! from 11pm until 3 am, jack slept like a rock. usually he wakes up every 2.5 hours and eats as though i haven't fed him and he snorts like a little piggy. the last couple nights, every 1.5 hours and then up at 4am, 5am, 6am and 7am (to eat 15 minutes each time). finally i decide to just get out of bed at 7 because i know sleeping is not in the cards.
last night was magical...not just the sleeping part, but when he woke up at 3am, i fed him and then changed his diaper. at 3:30am jack and i had one of those moments i will remember forever. he was happy, awake (of course) and just stared at me. we talked (yes we) and he responded with smiles and the best noises. after a few minutes of me overjoyed, i knew i needed to get the camera and take a little video. i am so glad i did. shortly after i started, his stomach caught up with the rest of him (another 15 minutes of eating). growth spurt? i think so...
i can't believe how much i love him. i can't enjoy him enough, kiss his cheeks enough, squeeze his little thighs enough (he is now a little over 10 pounds), stare into his eyes enough, or smell him enough. i thank heavenly father everyday for him.

It is so fun to watch babies make cute noises. They seem to be trying so hard to talk and let us know what they are thinking and they seem to have so much to tell. Jack is darling even early in the morning.

Oh Ashlee...thank you! I am just now getting caught up with my blogging and checking your site and I'm blessed with a video of Jack!! I can't wait to hold him and smell him and kiss him!! Thanks for video taping him. I love you all tons.
