rub-a-dub-dub

jack loves, loves, LOVES being in the bathtub. if he hears anyone starting a shower, he thinks it's his turn and he starts taking his clothes off. for a while, paul and i would sit by him and he would ask us to play toys with him. as we would take one thing to play with, jack would get excited and take it saying he needed it. so, in reality, all that means is that he wants us to watch him play toys. we are having a great time teaching him that we can play too, and that it can be fun. we have storms, build towers and splash water everywhere. i'm glad he likes the water, and grateful he is so good natured.

long day

it was a long day at pebbles. getting ready for the shop hop and also, just getting stuff done. little jack was with me, and did really well. dad showed up after work, and we started talking about what needed to be done. he looked over at the kid's table and told me to look at jack. i looked over and sure enough, he had fallen asleep standing over the table. after taking a few pictures, i picked him up, took him home and snuggled him as he slept. i am so grateful to have jack as mine. he makes me so happy!

big noise!

jack and i went with becky on her 3 mile walk. we walked around the neighborhood at a very fast pace. my short legs start smoking as becky takes her nice tall strides. i can't imagine what it must look like. this morning, we turned the corner, and becky noticed a big truck coming down the street. we watched as it passed by, and while jack was waving, the driver reached up and pulled on the horn twice. jack turned around so fast and said "wow"! for the rest of the walk, all we heard was "big truck"!

after running errands getting ready for the wedding, jack was done. we had a few more to run, but i knew that jack had reached the end of his cord. he would nap, get a lot of snacks and we would be off again. almost there:)
