becky would be proud...

on my way home from work last night, paul called and informed me we had quite a job to do. when i asked what it was, he told me i would be surprised. i sure was...i had 7 chickens in my kitchen sink ready to de-meat.
when i say chickens, i mean...
-no feathers
-no head
-no feet
-just the breast part with the skin and some feathers still there
so all we had to do was take the breast meat off, the tenders, the wings and thighs (which paul did because he didn't mind the sound/feeling of breaking bones). paul said over and over how proud he was of me that i wasn't gagging (an issue i have naturally, but way more so with my pregnancy). then he would say "if becky could see you now, she would be so proud". we went to bed talking about the different chores we would do on our farm. i told him he would be the one to take the head off the chicken and i could take off the breast meat. he smiled, squeezed my hand and said, "i love you my little farm girl".

all of us

i was going through my computer looking at past pictures, when i came across this...these are my invetro hormones. each night at the same time for 24 days, plus the blessed progesterone capsules (up there) 4 times a day for 3.5 months. would we do it all over again? of course.
i so wanted to be like "everyone else", but i would never take back what i learned and gained. looking back, i am glad i am not like "everyone else". i am me. who has learned to lean on my savior, paul, family and friends. sometimes looking to them for greater faith, and the look in their eyes that told me we are in it together.
each time i feel him move, i think of what we (us, family, friends) have done to get him here. i know he isn't just coming to us because of us, but because of all of us. i wish i knew how to express my love and gratitude...
