on my way home from work last night, paul called and informed me we had quite a job to do. when i asked what it was, he told me i would be surprised. i sure was...i had 7 chickens in my kitchen sink ready to de-meat.
when i say chickens, i mean...
-no feathers
-no head
-no feet
-just the breast part with the skin and some feathers still there
so all we had to do was take the breast meat off, the tenders, the wings and thighs (which paul did because he didn't mind the sound/feeling of breaking bones). paul said over and over how proud he was of me that i wasn't gagging (an issue i have naturally, but way more so with my pregnancy). then he would say "if becky could see you now, she would be so proud". we went to bed talking about the different chores we would do on our farm. i told him he would be the one to take the head off the chicken and i could take off the breast meat. he smiled, squeezed my hand and said, "i love you my little farm girl".
