i think for the first time in my entire life, i had a good time shopping. everything must have aligned perfectly to make it a great experience. mom found a coupon from old navy in her purse and asked if i wanted it. i thought i would be able to find a couple maternity tops (my clothing options are quite limited) and call it good. after all, mom made it through a pregnancy with 1 pair of pants and a white/navy polka dot shirt (even though towards the end, the white dots had completely disappeared on her chest). mom, abby and i headed to old navy. we stopped by ross first (never been there) and found pair of jeans ($14.99) and 2 shirts ($7.99). then over to old navy. i am surprised at how assertive abby is. she would look at a shirt and say...
abby- "ash, what size and color?"
me- "i don't like it"
abby- "what size and color?"
me- "i don't think i will like it"
then she proceeds to get the size and a color option and puts it into my hands. as i stand there looking at the shirt, she has grabbed a few other items, put them into my hands and is down another isle.
when we left, i had saved over $50 and spent only $60 at old navy! i had a pair of capris, 2 shirts, cardigan and a dress that i am thoroughly in love with.
it was a great experience, and i didn't even get home in a bad mood followed by a fudge popsicle...thank you mom and abby!
